In Need of Your Support

Aloha friends and supporters of the Kalaeloa Heritage and Legacy Foundation (KHLF) and the Kalaeloa Heritage Park (KHP).We are at a crossroads and need your support.  Our landowner, the Hawai’i Community Development Authority, is contemplating the cancellation of KHLF’s lease – which would effectively result in the closure of the Kalaeloa Heritage Park.  Your voice is needed now!  Please submit testimony in favor of a motion by HCDA staff to expend up to $100K to analyze stockpiled materials at the KHP in preparation for removal and remediation.  Your testimony can be emailed to dbedt.hcda.contact@hawaii.gov or posted via the HCDA website at http://dbedt.hawaii.gov/hcda/events/notice-of-public-hearings/ to submit your electronic testimony in support of the motion and the Park (select “Other” for “Project Name” and enter Kalaeloa Heritage Park).  If you are able to provide testimony in person, please come to the HCDA office on 547 Queen Street by 9:30 am for the 10:00 am meeting on Wednesday 01 August 2018.Mahalo for your continued support of the Kalaeloa Heritage Park.
