2nd Annual Kalaeloa Heritage Park Luau Fundraiser

The 2^nd Annual Kalaeloa Heritage Park Luau Fundraiser held this past summer was not only a success but exceeded all our expectations. It was a sold-out crowd. A big mahalo to HCDA board member Shirley Swinney for her leadership of which this could not happen without her hard work and dedication to the heritage park. Our MC Iwalani Tseu of Hui 'Iwa Academy was again extraordinary much like last year’s luau. The entertainers Moke Boy and Friends, Don Kaulia and Peter Moon Jr., Kumu Hula Tatiana Fox Tseu and her Halau Na Lei ‘O Ka Iwa Ha’a ‘O Ka Lani and Rodney Bejer and Friends were more than entertaining. They brought life to the former Navy torpedo loading and arming facility. The cultural practitioner workshop and displays by Sol Apio’s wood craft, Verna Takashima’s Kapa, Ka’ahakiule Jury’s kukui nut oil and Eric Matanane’s cultural tripods and lashing made it an educational experience.
